Choki Choki is definitely one of my favourites! Its’ chocolate may not be the best, but the experience is definitely gold. Oh, that guilty pleasure when you sip on these slim tubes of decadent chocolate bit by bit! It’s also so convenient to slip them inside the pencil case and sneak a sip in class.

ICED GEM BISCUITS

This classic iced gem biscuits, also known as naval biscuits are just little biscuits with coloured icing sugar on top but they’re so addictive! Although not as popular now, you can still find this treat at night market and certain supermarkets.

You may not be attracted to lemon tablet’s old-fashioned and quaint packaging, but you will certainly get addicted once you put them into your mouth. Childhood Snacks

This candy is kind of a strange, unique enigma but many Malaysians enjoy their pleasant taste. We’re not even sure why but a roll of these tangy bad boys will get you quickly addicted. Commonly known as Wang-Wang, this seasoned rice cracker is another childhood staple that wins many Malaysians’ heart. You can’t even compare Wang-Wang to any other rice cracker in the supermarkets, including Western ones. It’s definitely the MSG that makes it so tasty and addictive.

WHITE RABBIT CANDY

Childhood Snacks

Have you heard of the recent rave on white rabbit bubble tea? Malaysians who grew up loving white rabbit candy would definitely join the queue to try. Too much of this milky goodness may render you feeling “jelak” but too little of them would leave you begging for more! Many would ask, “Are we allowed to eat the opaque wrapper that comes with it?” Yes! The wrapper is actually made of edible rice cellophane that dissolves in your mouth for even more goodness.
