Vital Years in Puchong, Selangor is an Early English Literacy Centre offering programs to help children of all backgrounds to learn the skills of writing, speaking and listening in English, suitable for preschoolers and primary school children.

Our Mission

To help children of all backgrounds to learn to read speedily and in a totally stress-free way and in the process to nurture the skills of writing, speaking and listening, and to encourage creativity and critical thinking skills..

Our Programme

The Vital Years Early English Literacy Programme recognises that children are natural readers, decoding and differentiating the sights, sounds and sensations around them from the moment they are born. Because our method harnesses the way in which they were BORN to learn, children progress faster and develop a love for the language itself.

We affirm that:

• Deciphering print is no more difficult for children than reading the world.
• We need not teach born readers to read but instead facilitate their inherent skill.
• Children will read print with ease if obstacles are not placed in their way.
• Rather than “sounding out” or using phonics, children naturally decode print through distinguishing, categorising and generalising much the same as they decode other things.

Our Technology

Vital Years centres are equipped with interactive SMART Boards to promote active engagement, collaborative learning and verbal interaction. The optimal use of the SMART Board puts us in the forefront of education, providing endless opportunities to enhance our children’s speaking skills and their ability to use language for communication.
