FunSwim in Bandar Kinrara Puchong, Selangor offers private, clean and effective swimming lessons to children, suitable for kids aged 4 years old and above.

At FunSwim, we believe swimming is more than knowledge, it is a BEHAVIOR. Our fun effective teaching method is useful to build young children confidence towards water. In the first few classes, we will observe the confidence level of the kid towards water. If they do not feel secure in water, we will first build their confidence with games and create a good relationship with the instructor.

FunSwim Syllabus

1. Breathing and kicking

When we swim, we do not breathe as per normal activities. The sequence of breathing is very important. So we will teach them the correct breathing method which will also be good training for the children’s lungs and stamina. Kicking will be the next step and this will require good balancing skills when using the swimming board.

2. Freestyle  

Freestyle is the first stroke the children will learn, with the correct breathing and kicking, children can proceed with front crawl. As such, the term freestyle is often used as a synonym for front crawl, and this style is generally the fastest. Up to this stage, kids can pick up this stroke in 3 months or less.

3. Breaststroke 

Breaststroke is the most popular recreational style due to its stability and ability to keep the head out of water a large portion of time. But Breaststroke requires different kicking and crawling methods, so it is a new challenge to the children again.

4. Backstroke

Backstroke, also called the back crawl, is the only regulated style swum on the back. The challenge for children is to overcome fear in doing back kicking. This requires high balancing skill and stable movement.

5. Butterfly Stroke

Butterfly Stroke is the advanced level in FunSwim syllabus, it requires very good technique to be feasible. We will provide proper guidance to children and ensure they are able to make it.
