Course Description

Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching Methodology is a program to help develop the ability to apply and utilize a range of teaching approaches that will enhance the effectiveness of teaching and learning, both in the theoretical and practical aspects. Its uniqueness, in comparison to other similar programs, is the fact that it is tailored to suit the requirement of all types of academic proficiency. This program is classified as MQF (Malaysian Qualification Framework) level 7 where by its competency is equivalent of Masters level.

Academic Pathway Leading To:

  • Postgraduate Diploma of Education (Tertiary Education)
  • Master of Education (Tertiary Education)
  • Doctoral Study

Tuition Fees:
Malaysian Student: RM 8, 000 per year costing RM 8, 000 for the whole course

  • Foundation in Teaching & Learning
  • Teaching Methodology in Health Sciences

SEMESTER 2

  • Curriculum Planning & Management
  • Student Assessment Systems
  • Micro & Macro Teaching

SEMESTER 3

  • Teaching Practicum

 

  • A bachelor degree or equivalent with minimum CGPA of 2.50 in related field, as accepted by the Senate of AMU; OR
  • A bachelor degree or equivalent in related field with CGPA of less than 2.50 and a minimum of 5 years working experience in related field/ teaching.
