Course Description

The Diploma in Civil Engineering at MIU is a 2 years and 8 months program where students will complete a total of 93 credit hours inclusive of lectures, tutorials, group projects, assignments, labs and industrial training. The program prepares students to be industry ready.

This program will produce qualified and trained Civil Engineering technicians and technical assistants who are not only well-equipped to face the challenges of the rapidly evolving business arena of the new millennium, but also possess the highest level of integrity, discipline and professionalism.

  • Pass SPM (or equivalent) with at least a Credit in three (3) subjects including Mathematics and one (1) Science/Technical/Vocational subject and a pass in English, or
  • Pass STPM (or equivalent) with a pass in Mathematics, English, and one (1) Science/Technical/Vocational subject at SPM level, or
  • Pass Engineering / Engineering Technology certificate (Level 3 KKM) which is recognised or equivalent to a minimum of CGPA 2.00, or
  • Pass Vocational and Technical/Skills certificate which is recognised or equivalent to a minimum CGPA of 2.00 with at least a Credit in one (1) subject at SPM level as well as working experience in a relevant field for one (1) year or a bridging programme for one (1) semester, or
  • Other equivalent qualifications as recognised by the Malaysian Government.
