Course Description

UTAR’s Bachelor of Science (Hons) Biomedical Science offered by the Faculty of Science is an interdisciplinary programme with a combination of biology and pre-clinical sciences. The programme aims to equip graduates with a strong basic knowledge in the field of health sciences. 

It also develops professionalism and provides opportunities to the students to put theory into practice in their development of healthcare. The programme generates graduates to work in the area of medicine and health related industries including management, basic medical research, education, forensics, and pharmaceuticals development. 

 

Tuition Fees:

Malaysian Student: RM 12,613 per year costing RM 50,450 for the whole course
International Student: RM 16,750 per year costing RM 67,000 for the whole course

  • Matriculation Certificate, Ministry of Education including Biology and Chemistry (both with GPA of 2.50 and above)
  • Foundation in Science, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) including Biology and Chemistry (both with GPA of 2.50 and above)
  • Foundation from other Institutions of Higher Learning including Biology and Chemistry (both with GPA of 2.50 and above.)
  • Diploma from other Institutions of Higher Learning in the relevant field with CGPA of 2.75 and above
  • Diploma from other Institutions of Higher Learning in the relevant field with CGPA of 2.75 and below and with minimum of 3 years of working experience in the relevant field
  • Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government with GPA 2.50 in Biology and Chemistry
  • SPM or equivalent with 5 credits of which 3 credits must be in Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English Language
  • MUET Band 3/IELTS Band 5.5/TOEFL score of 550 (not applicable for qualifications conducted fully in English language)
