Goodness, what a disappointment this school is. This review goes as a warning to those who wish to enroll their children here. Don't. It is a waste of money, with a fake set up. My experience dealing with them was nothing short of a nightmare. First of all, the quality of education is INCREDIBLY low. The school is advertised as an 'international' school, when in reality, the secondary sector has only 4-5 foreign expat teachers. The rest are locals, who have a very weak command of the English language, and do not seem certified (or educated enough, for that matter) to be teaching the British syllabus. If you wish to enroll your child in hopes of them being surrounded by English speakers, don't. The lessons are in English but the students are predominantly Chinese. There are almost no expat students in the secondary sector. Your child will continue speaking Mandarin/low standard English. The second issue is with the local teachers. Locals are paid low salaries, so the teachers that are willing to work there are of low quality. They make money on the side by tutoring outside of school, so they will not have an interest in teaching your child. They do not care about your child's education. There were many times when my child was refused help by a teacher because the teacher was 'busy' (in other words, could not care less). The environment is always under pressure, and it is not a positive place. There are many unnecessary rules that will make you, as a parent, go insane. Your child will be nitpicked and stalked like a hawk, with teachers snooping out fault. Only completely black shoes are allowed, white socks, stud earrings, no hair dye, hair above collar for boys, etc. Your children will be watched better than they will be taught. Wish they paid the same attention to the quality of teaching. If you are an expat, I strongly recommend that you do not enroll your child in this school. My child was witness to having local teachers discriminate against students that were of another race (white). There are local teachers who are racist against white students. Instead of teaching, they are more concerned with bullying students of other nationalities, who look different. This is pitiful and immature. When reported, no action was taken. Your child will not be protected here. Teachers are unprofessional. My child had requested to change teachers because of a misunderstanding in the teacher's method of teaching. The principal lied, and insisted that it was impossible for my child to change classes. My child spent the rest of the year learning nothing in that class. For another subject, the teacher had retired in March. From then on, no official teacher had been replaced, and the rest of the year was spent with various substitute teachers. Again, quality of education is incredibly low, and despite the high school fees, every student still has to hire personal tutors. You will most likely have to hire tutors for almost every subject your child takes as well, which is a huge waste of money. All in all, the school system is disorganized. No expertise/dedication/reliability. Teachers are incompetent. I won't go so far as to say this school is a scam. But frankly, it sort of is. They hire white teachers for show, as this helps convince parents that there is an air of respectability and diligence. Design of the school is modern and renovation is eye-catching, to attract parents and make it seem as if it is a respectable school. The white teachers are put on for show as puppets, if you ever see Taylor's at an education expo, there will only be white teachers at the booth. In reality, the school is made up of mostly local teachers. My child left the school with almost no education. There was no room for growth/development/creativity. Homework is given out in abundance. If you don't want your child to be a failure, and want them to actually have a great learning experience, do not send them to this school. We regret every cent spent. My child learned nothing, and had to rely on tutors. The two years spent here were a nightmare.

Hi, i am a student within this quote on quote "School", and i must say that this school so far has been quite alright, granted that the pricing for said school is absurd and completely unreasonable! We have parents who are being fooled into believing that this school is actually a suitable and "5 Star" establishment due to the constant brain-washing from the officials of this school! Trust me when i say this to those who are reading this review, DO NOT PUT YOUR CHILD IN THIS SCHOOL. It is a huge waste of good money and there so much better places to bring your child for an actual good education.

I’m a student from this school (soon to be ex student). From my experience over the past 7 years, this school isn’t a so called international school. There’s barely any foreigners teaching and studying in this school. The teachers don’t really care about the students. No action will be taken of any complaints about the teachers. The education in this school is extremely low considering that this is a international school. To sum it all up basically this school is a bad school. If you’re looking to send your child/children to this school don’t do it because it’s a waste of your time, your child’s/children’s time and your money.

I am a student here at TISKL, and the teaching method of some teachers is ok but some are very bad. bullying is a huge problem here and the teachers dont respond well an takes alot of time to solve all problems, this makes the student to rather solve the problem itself than asking help from teachers. the food is overpriced and bad quality. most of the teachers are ignorant. overall if i were you, i would not prefer this school. (i might get arrested for this but ok)

the school talks about being healthy but the head of secondary gave us the only choice to eat fast food(McDonalds) and only notified us of the option on the last 5 minutes when we’ve been planing to eat somewhere with proper food since the trip has been decided

Sorry for my poor English. My child is a talkative student, and she will let her teachers know that who is bullying her because I always teach my children about “child rights”. She got bullied by few of her classmates, and as usual, my child will let the teacher know on the spot when the others kids were bullying her. At first, teacher will take care of this but after so many times she complaints that others children keep bulliying her, the teacher ask my child to solve the problem by herself. My child after came home, she told me that she got bullied again and explains to me how she react to this matter, then I asked her back, why u don’t let your teacher know, believed that the teacher will help you on that and they will protect you, my child said back that the teacher asked her to solve the problem by herself. The teacher really don’t care about the student(my child was only 6 years old last year). After school time, I will be late to pick up my child, and I found out that all the children will not be attended by anyone of the people who are working there, and I saw my child got punch by another kid. Other then that, my child she was alone waiting for me to pick her up at the basement by herself. This is totally unsafe, no more student, only few parents and a security guard. I wonder how could it happen without no one is taking care of a 6 year old child and been waiting for her parents to pick her up by herself alone! Please if u do really care about your child , please do not send your child to this money-minded school.

Given the unreasonably (compared to the overall value) high fees and other unexpected costs, better to have look at other schools which may not have great fancy building but overall value can be good. Although the teching level is good enough, the premium fees and attitude of school in making money is a downside. I hear the school also has very tough refund policy of the advance term fee paid. Even if late by a day can be a big problem. For those looking for lesser priced international school can check out schools like - Vikas International, Al noor, etc.

I have studied in my school for almost 1 and a half year now. Well the school is quite ok but the 1 thing in dont like in my opinion is that there school teachers when they teach us they usually teach us to make sure we understand, but in this case of scenario.... when the teachers teach and I dont understand anything and there teachings are no specific enough and etc.. and now during the mco we students have to do online classes but some of the students don't have computer or iPad or etc and if you do t have it them u cant study. All the teachers kept on saying we are adult and must think like an adult but then they kept on reminding us like so many times and ppl are just so fed up with it. And the last part is that the food there is bad cause first its overpriced and second it taste so bad and like per plate with rice or pasta and such little meat and rarely chicken cost rm 10 and the drinks cost rm 3 which is still ok but... the worst part is they pay using card and u just keep on having to top up and top up again and again and if there Is balance in the card u cannot buy anything with it and it will be such a waste .... so I hope they can make a difference about this.

Tuition is not expensive in the city of Kuala Lumpur, even if there is only 20% of international teachers, but you get what you paid for. The teachers are mostly Chinese malaysians, indians and malays who have studied abroad. The courses include kids garten, primary school and middle school

I just wish that the school will become cleaner as well, also there is a lost and found place where people will put lost items and you may try to find your lost item there:) The school is very big and full of friendly, nice, kind, talented, sweet, polite and cool students:) I have not experienced/saw any type of bullying like name calling:)

The teachers are primarily Malaysian but the expat teachers are there to supervise. I can see lots of changes within the past few months within the school. The teachers are capable, friendly and work hard. They have adapted to the British system well. They have talks regularly where parents are invited. Sports is good in the school. Hoping the music department too will have better teachers in the near future. It currently has a very strict teacher whom children don't like. Would be great to have more music oriented activities within the school. Communication with parents is superb. Children are given points which culminates to certificates for their academic and non academic efforts. Education is quite balanced. Activity based and theory both combined. Ideal for children. Another good thing about being a local yet international school is more permanent friends than having to say bye to friends each year. They need to learn Mandarin and Bahasa but since its ability group based, its not a big hassle, though another international language for the expat children would probably be better as an introduction. Overall, we are happy about the school and hope it progresses further.

All my kids love it and settled in really well even though the week isn't even up! We had a long conversation with the Head who was very reassuring and very competent. I also spoke to all their teachers who were very helpful but the main thing is my kids are enjoying learning and made some good friends already. I'm glad we took a chance on Taylor's and I hope they continue to benefit from their time there.
