The education policy is too extreme. Middle school students can’t use the phone at home or surf the Internet. You can’t use mobile phones or surf the Internet when you’re not going to school. Bad school system that binds the students, provides too many unnecessary stress to the students

The school's environment might be good. But the attitude and manners of the students there is horrible.

If you want your child to be happy and mentally healthy, DO NOT LET YOUR CHILDREN GET INTO THIS SCHOOL! If your pride is high, and you think your child should get as many As as possible and you doesn't give a damn about your child's own will cuz you are too pathetic, you can send your child into this Hell on Earth

I have met this principle when I was trying to find my daughter a better education like all the parents do. He boldly told me that Seri Omega’s system is carried by punishment. There are 16 vice principles who has right to cane any of the students. All must bid his system include teachers, students and parents who send their children there. According to the Principal, Parents has no right to raise any dissatisfaction(take it or leave it). I was very irritated and but we hv no chance to interrupt his long winded 2 hrs-lecture. He even commented on my daughter physical feature that affects her confidence in carrying herself.(FYI my girl has no physical malformations ) My impression is HE IS A DICTATOR. It’s a blessing in disguise that I did not send my children there. I don’t want her to be punished by canning, hitting with a thick folder, held and shake on her shoulder, cut her fringes and most importantly scar her lifetime. It’s not about the money, it’s her childhood that almost be ruined. Dear all parents, better be safe than sorry. There are so many schools in JB. Don’t risk your children’s future.

I totally agree that Omega is the best secondary school.Teachers are friendly and helpful.Discipline is strict enough to control student's who have a bad behavior.Omega create a favourable study environment for all student.As a ex student of Omega, I very encourage those of the parents to send their child here for better care in study and behavior.Thanks Omega??

Very poor management and communication in handling students’ education during MCO. Likewise, poor communication to students in preparing them to return to school.

Do not understand why picking up student can take more than an hour to wait. (By all mean i arrive 10mins earlier) Rethink what education mean in your age parents.

I know there are many great reviews about the discipline of this school. Yes, this school has great discipline, much like army training (students get caned if they don't walk on the left side of their path). As a graduate of this school last year, 2014, I have many points in which I wish to speak about in this review. As we all know, Seri Omega puts huge emphasis on their students capability to speak fluent English but is it necessary to the point where students get caned and receive a demerit point when they get caught speaking Chinese? You see, the irony that exists in this school is that it prides itself in being an ENGLISH-SPEAKING SCHOOL as well as being both a private AND international school yet the school has a rather bigoted mindset about anything other than academic studies. Students who are talented in sports or arts are mostly sidelined and are told to pay more attention to their studies, and this is coming from someone who has had straight A's in his SPM and was told by his principal not to pursue arts and design or else I'd end up jobless. Secondly, the school has a very small range of choices for ECA (Extra-Curricular Activities) and students are often unwilling to attend ECA every Saturday for 8 times a year (which is quite useless due to how seldom it is held anyway). Also, I would like to point out that even though we're living in a fast-changing society, the principal seems adamant that students should not be in touch with technology or specifically basketball (he thinks children who play basketball become delinquents). As for the teaching in this school, the senior teachers are great at teaching and most of them possess multiple certificates in teaching and have all graduated from university. However, this year it seems that the quality of teaching has dropped due to a large number of students coming in (+1100 students in a year) and students who are in the last few classes are often given the worst teachers. (The principal also tends to fire all of the good teachers, any teacher who has a close relationship to their students get fired.) Quite often, students are bullied or insulted by their teachers and they report it but it is simply brushed off as nonsense by the school administration. I have had quite a few teachers call me "stupid" and "hopeless" almost every year but I know if I reported it, the teacher (all male) would simply laugh at me for even trying to claim justice and tell the story to other classes as a joke. I also have had two female friends who had been molested by male students in school and they went on to report this to Mr Wong Loke Keng, one of the vice principals in this school and he simply told them that they were "thinking too much". I feel like this school is in denial with how pretentious its disciplinary system actually is. A final verdict would be that if you want your children to grow up around materialistic students (and eventually become materialistic themselves) and study under SOME (not most) problematic teachers under an oppressed environment with strict discipline then it would be fine. But as a student, I can only say that I regret coming here (and most of my friends too), because when I look back at my youth, I see nothing memorable. Send your kids to Foon Yew or somewhere else, it's much better and cheaper.

Dont ever send your child to international school. As if you can afford the fee why dont you just send them to Singapore gov school?

In the interview of this school, I have already said that when the school punishes the students, the parents can not address the site, and the students are wrong to make a mistake! It’s the parents who hurt their own children too much, spoiled! At that time, the school principal was accidentally shot too heavy, but at that time the school principal saw the news and knew that he was wrong and apologized to the student! People are not perfect, people will have mistakes, I read OMEGA -6 Year of this year form2~ I don't hate omega, but I hope I can stay longer in omega. Although I am not a strong reader, I am working hard. Omega is a very strict school, if you don't like omega, don't read it!

Government announced MCO till 14 April, many government schools start conduct lesson online, what Seri Omega is going to do? So far we have not yet receive any news from the school.
