Terrible experience with admin staff & principal (Scully). They are rude and unprofessional. School and staffs are not of international school standard.

When everyone rush to get a place for their kids because of the reasonable fees, they forget about the poor performance of the teachers. There are limited space in this school, not because it's a renown international school, it's because this school is small. Teachers are not approachable, not nurturing, not interested to build relationship with students and parents. They scold kids instead of guiding them. Kids learn nothing much at the end of the day. Poor communication as kids dont even know what homework they should do! Disciplined students? Well it's because they treat kids like robots. Kids are not allowed to be kids and interact with other kids because everyone should sit at their designated seat during breaks, cannot even stand up at a spot to have fesh air! As a result, the kids have poor social skill. Worst of all, the canteen operator serve unhealthy meals worth Rm1.50 each only and pocket the rest of the money. Long school hours (oh yes they treat kids like robots). Kids are tired after school and don't have much time to do revision and homework because they have to sleep early in order to wake up early to reach school latest 7.30am the next morning. You also need to pay for all the after school activities. If you want to bring up any issue, by all means see the head and be a fool because they won't do anything. I am sure they are proud to call themselves an international school. So there! Been there, done that!

Go Pudu better, this school hasn't reach international standard yet. All they care is just money. The keep on using the "pool" to attract more customers, but you dont get to use the pool. Its only for those who paid for the extra class after school. The teachers are bad too, if your kids are bad in studying then the teachers will not give a single F about them, they will only focus on the very good ones. The school will also only care about those students who will bring fame and money to the Stella Maris International School name, if your kids didn't contribute anything that is related to that, your kids will kena ignored kau kau. Plus unlike Pudu who has a year end field trip for a couple of days for the student, this SMIS doesn't have any of that for normal students but only for those who participates and competes in outside sports like SMKL, Teakwondo, Squash and etc. If you want your teenagers to have a perfect, fun and memorable high school life, go to Stella Maris Pudu or look else where.

Poor teachers for O-level courses. The english teacher's pronunciation is very difficult to understand, and the economics teacher loads us with works instead of teaching. The maths teacher doesn't utilise formulas and force students to write every workings for their exercises. He yells, tears students book and even throw the teachers chair on the wall when he is mad. ICT teacher calls her husband in the middle of online class because she doesn't know how to upload a file. This school responds very poorly to bullying and discipline issues as well.
