Due to covid-19 outbreak, the Malaysian immigration granted our family to stay in the country until 31st of August 2020, but the Italian embassy warned us to leave the country immediately (by 29th June) in order to avoid any issue due to the overstay. We have provided copy of email from the embassy to te Sayfol school. According to the immigration and embassy, we could re-entered at the end of the recovery MCO in September 2020 as a tourist and apply again for the work permit. So late June, we left Malaysia all together as we cannot divide our family. Unfortunately the plan did not go as planned because the Malaysian government extended the recovery MCO until 31st December 2020. This means that we can’t enter in Malaysian until next year and I and my son can’t enter too because Italy is in the list of banned countries (https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-09-08/malaysia-bans-citizens-of-more-countries-amid-virus-resurgence ). We have paid last year for the enrollment of Samuel RM 15,000, on 25th and 26th July which includes term 1 fee (RM5,940), RM 3,500 for the registration fee and RM 5,560 refundable deposit. The school is keeping the refundable deposit which is a total fraud. I strongly not recommend to enroll your children to this greedy and unprofessional management.

This school is very dated and poorly maintained. Many students attend this school perhaps because of the decidedly low prices for an international school or perhaps because it is the only one located in the outskirts of the city center. My daughter attends this school but I am definitely disappointed and I await the end of the school year to change. Most of the students are of Indian origin, then followed by Malaysians of Chinese origin, some westerns can be counted on the fingers of one hand. The structure is old and not maintained, the classes are really sterile and lacking in equipment. The teachers are very kind and prepared, nothing to say, but we also read in their face the demoralization towards the school. In front of the school the project of the new classes that will be built and completed by 2019 has been exposed but as you can well see beyond the facade sign there is only an empty field where no work has ever even started . I strongly advise you to find something else if you are thinking about this school as you could also be involved in annoying administration games, as happened in my case: payment of the installment in August 2018 but the school does not admit the student until October in how much "must ask permission to the MOE (Ministry of education). Past the MOE (October) you will end up with the problem of the student visa (We are in March 2019 and I expect it from August 2018). You will be made to pay everything and always in advance but the visas will always be refused without providing any proof of the refusal by the immigration office, so also for the MOE it is based on the costs and timing on the trust of what the administrative office says. your children deserve better than this Indian school sold off as international.

Its not a normal school!! My child has been going to this school and hasn't learned that much of English as we thought he was supposed to learn, more than a British coriculum its more like the worse english coriculum, i am not good at english, same as my son that hasn't learned english in this school and he has been one year going to that school. And this school is crazy! Even a day that there was like 150 of haze and this schook didn't care and i had to send my student to the school, poor childs like come on, and there is no formality in the school, all the classes and all the places are really old and they never do reformances in the school. Just wow! Parents like me that we're searching for a school to send your sons or daughters, don't even think about sending them to sayfol.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I was in this school from primary 6 to year 11 and it was all the same. This place has rude, angry teachers. The teachers pick on you individually and treat you in different ways, especially if you are from another place other than their own nationality, like I remember in that school Iranian and Korean kids always got discriminated by mostly Indian teachers. The teachers never talk to you properly or explain something to you nicely when you did not understand the lesson, instead after asking them they would scream at you and tell you very belittling things for a growing child and say you should have listened properly or it was our fault that we did not understand, instead of caring what is the students problem and fixing it.This means teachers don’t even care about how the students are learning. I’m just going to say, please don’t send your kids here if you don’t want them to have mental problems or PTSD from studying here. I was always a good student in all my subject until the math teacher in my 8th grade was so angry, rude, and mean I don’t even know how she became a teacher because if she could she would hit us too, that’s how bad she was. Every time I had a problem she would either ignore me, or if after ignoring me too much I asked again, she would scream at me why I’m stupid and don’t listen. If that is how you want your kids to be treated while they are away from home in hopes of better education, please please don’t send them here.

Been in this school since year 1, now year 9. This school can improve but they just dont want to. 65% teacher indian 30% local (malay, chinese) and 5% british. The class in this school is mostly made out of wood. You can hear the next class teacher teaching and the student talking. Repairing in this school take years, aircon malfunction 60% of the time and when it happen it is hell. The toilet is very bad ,they dont fix the doors, even if they want to fix it it will take them a few month or year. There is 2 toilet 1 for teacher and 1 for student. There is 4 toilet where you can sit and 6 toilet where you have to squad ( for boy student). 3 out of 4 of the toilet door is broken. The library in this school is small. Actually its not even a library it is more like a classroom. You cant enter it. The teachers in this school are ok. There is some good teacher and mildly bad teacher (the want that get angry fast). There is also weird teachers in this school. Most of the western teachers coming to this school dont last long due to bad school service and environment towards the them. Some of the the teacher are damn old, they get angry fast. Ok now I am gonna talk about the school facilities. The school have few broken and not the correct shape facilities. They have 2 basketball court that is different form each other. There is a football field that is not well maintain anf gold post with no net. The canteen is ok I give 3.5 out of 5 star. The science lab have few things and that few thing no one can touch except fot the teachers. The ict lab is bad they have a projector in the ict lab but they cant buy a place to project the image. The computer are old. The mouse too. Now lets talk about the teachings. Ict class is boring i learn basic things like excel, powerpoint etc. 70 % of the class focus on theory. Even the ict teacher thinks its boring but he cant do anything due to the manager. By the way the ict teacher named Mr Dramane is a very talented guy he can do programming. For art the teacher( i stop art at year 7 i was damn happy when u can choose the subject) just tell us what to do by showing picture and we just do it. English 80% of the book bought is not complete I dont why they ask us to buy the textbook and workbook if they dont use it. Math as usual its boring. There is no competition in sport with other school here. Buying books have improved but still have minor latency when geting the book. Buying uniform is terrible here they always run out of uniform. That all I can say about this school if u want education and have little money you can come here but i dont recommend it.By the way the pic they put are the primary side the secondary side is so bad.

It's decent for a school, I guess. Some of the teachers here are really kind, some are willing to even provide extra classes for their students. As for the students, you can't be mad at them. Not everyone's the same, and not everyone comes out the way you'd expect. It's nice knowing that everyone comes from different countries with different cultures. Heck, there's even extra activities you can sign up for. Now for the cons. The school in terms of facilities is way underground. The stench from the cafeteria floors is impossible to ignore, presumably because of the famous term 'reduce, reuse and recycle'. The term in this case being the mop used to 'clean' the floors. I feel the medical aid in the school could have a tad more soundproofing, and looking at the school fees, I know it wouldn't be hard to do so. Then there's the banner that displays 'development by 2019'. Development says a swimming pool, a more organised parking lot, and a bigger basketball court with a dome. Unfortunately, Sayfol says this is concept art made via photoshop, and so does the plot of land untouched since the beginning of term 1. By 2019? You can't even make it through 3019! Then there's... certain events. Founder's day, for one. It's an assembly made specifically for the founder and no one else. You would think 'Isn't that showing respect?' It's not. There's a difference between attending an event on purpose and being forced to attend an event. Despite all the remarks I'm throwing out as a form 4 student, I would've gave this 1 star had I not been grateful I was privileged with an education. Seriously though, I feel that there's lots more room for improvement in Sayfol, and I'm not just talking about the plot of land. Speaking of which, the 2019 'development' thing? Yeah, they invested (WASTED) their money on a fountain instead of a new pool. Let that sink in. Overall, it's decent, but it's not what you'd expect from an international school. P.s: you can't read reviews and post one on how you know the school's bad based on reviews alone. Maybe you'd like to be introduced to a word called 'experience'?

Sayfol International School is honestly the best international school out there. Let me tell you why, the teachers are so dedicated they are willing to teach lessons according to the students phase of learning, they humble themselves and make sure the student understands in the way they teach. The ambiance of the classroom will boost your motivation in terms of studying and learning, the enviornment will leave you in awe.. Teachers are always ready to listen to your problem no matter what it is. This school instills moral values in students such as respect, acceptance, perseverance and the importance of embracing diversity. Not to mention their library has adundance of books. *coughs* sorry for that.. Sayfol doesnt get the credit it deserves.. Now that you have read this far, I just want to say everything I said above is the opposite..Hope you have a nice day. Thank you!

I'm giving Sayfol a 5 star only to boost the ratings up. I feel it is unfair to have it at 1 or 2 stars given the circumstances. Is Sayfol a 5 star school? Unlikely. Is it a 2 star school? Obviously not. My true rating is probably 3 or 4 stars. Im leaning towards 4 though. I'll explain why. Many of the criticisms other users have mentioned here can be defeated by a simple argument: 'Sayfol is one of the cheaper International Schools, if not the cheapest.' Now with that in mind, let's address some of the problems put forth by other pupils: a) The Facilities. The facilities are old and seriously outdated to the modern standards of other international school nowadays. I agree with that statement. However, you must understand that this school does not have the same fees as Tier A schools like ISKL or Alice Smith. This means they have less of a budget to improve school facilities as they need to balance out everything else. Is it a potential safety hazard? Yes. But this academic year alone they've repainted the classrooms and generally improved the school visually and structurally. I'm not here to act as an expert on whether or not Sayfol is using it's money well. I'm saying that many of the criticism mentioned is unfair. You get what you paid for. b) Cleanliness Probably one of the problems that I actually agree with. The toilets are not maintained enough and there is regularly the strong smell of poop and pee in the air, the occasional clogged toilet, wet and unsanitary surfaces, as well as some doors in the bathroom not being able to be locked / unable to be closed. I don't think there is enough cleaners at Sayfol who are paid enough to do their jobs happily. They are unhappy and thus work efficiency is low. If a school is faced with no budget to pay for more cleaners, then they need to encourage awareness to prevent students from making matters worse. At this moment, there is no subject which covers this. c) Teachers The Teachers at Sayfol are probably one of the more friendlier and nicer teachers around. I've only heard a few complaints for a very small minority of teachers: all my teachers have been a joy to work with and learn under. Sayfol's biggest strength is arguably its teachers. They're good. What more is there to say. Any criticism for teachers are either for a small minority of them, or biased with a grudge. d) Students I am considered 'new' in Sayfol and when I first came here it was very easy for me to fit in. I found a group of people I liked, and stuck with them. There are a wide variety of international students here and invisible barriers may prevent students from mingling amongst each other. I haven't really seen any 'mean' students or 'bullies' but so far the rotten eggs have been suspended from the school. Generally they're well behaved - to an extent, whilst also sociable. Overall, I feel like Sayfol gets a bad rep from its students and only some of it is justifiable. Sayfol has deep rooted problems, just like any other school! However you get what you paid for. An International School for a cheap price allowing a 'cheap' gateway to IGSCE and further studies is amazing! I understand the need for complaints but low reviews only make Sayfol look bad, and this means less money for them meaning less money to spend on making the school better. I love the teachers here. My only real quip are the toilets but everything else is understandable for an international school of this price (debatable for the ageing and possibly dangerous school structure). I hope I have made my point clear.

It's a shame to see the poor reviews of this school. They must reflect an experience from some time past because our experience of the school has been anything but. Everything from the quality of the teaching staff, extremely reasonable fees (particularly for the level of education provided), its central location (right near the Petronas Towers) to the newly built state-of-the art sports facilities make it the clear choice for any parent desiring a superior educational experience for their child and particularly for persons whose business concerns have brought them to Malaysia with their family.
