Overview
Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus is the international branch campus of Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne, Australia. The Sarawak campus opened in Kuching, the capital city of the Malaysian state of Sarawak, in 2000.
The campus is a partnership between Swinburne Australia and the Sarawak government. The campus is part of a long-term strategy by Swinburne Australia, established in 1908, to globalize its operations and provide its students with international living, working and learning opportunities.

On-Campus
The University’s on-campus hostel is located along Jalan Simpang Tiga and can accommodate 478 students. Full-time international and outstation students are given priority to reside at the hostel. First-year Foundation/Degree students are encouraged to reside at the hostel. The on-campus hostel offers a conducive environment with 24-hour security and general supervision.
Off-Campus
The Accommodation Office assists students in location other suitable off campus accommodation without any charges. A list of private Off-Campus accommodation can be obtained from the Accommodation Office.
Private rentals such as these would require students to sign a tenancy agreement with the landlord. You are advised to fully understand what is expected of you as a tenant and what rights and responsibilities you have on, as well as those of your landlord.

Motorcycle facilities
There are 66 shaded motorcycle parking bays on campus located behind Building G. There are also 14 unshaded motorcycle parking bays at the side of Building P.
Parking
There are 436 car parking bays on the Multi-Storey CarPark (MSCP – Building P). Entry into the MSCP is controlled by season card access which is issued by Kuching City Parking Systems (KCPS) only to staff and students of the University. Entry into the MSCP is from 6:00am till 10:00pm daily. The ground open (unshaded) parking is open to all including visitors and it offers 346 car parking bays.
